BOHO WALL HANGING

This is a really fun & easy little project.
Just find a stick (bake it @200° for an hour to assure it's critter free).
Then decorate with fabric, ribbons, yarn, beads, whatever you want. Let your imagination run wild!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This years decoration was cheap & fun.
Purchased a grapevine wreath from Hobby Lobby (with 40% off cupon of course) - and a little crow that was 50% off but was 1/2 covered in green glitter.
I Spray painted the wreath matte black. Then got out a brush & acrylic paint and just painted right over that crazy green glitter. Usually I'm a glitter kind of gal, but green? Yuck.
After that I dug out an unused frame & added a bow made from left over Christmas ribbon, then I just wired on some vintage jewelry & flowers from my stashes (didn't use glue because I didnt want to damage the jewelry). Found a twig in the yard and glued that on the wreath for the birdie to perch on and hung it up with large "Command Strips". Those things are great! They truely save the walls.
Going to be a little sad to see him go. Hopefully I will come up with something even better for fall. Thinking I might just reuse this frame. We'll see.
Happy haunting!

My 2014 Christmas "wreaths"

My mother & I just had to incorporate knitting into our Christmas decor this year. We started out almost traditional with red poinsettias...
Then mine had to be purple :)
But hey, total cost for this project - 3 whole dollars!
We just used things from around the house + $3.00 for purple ribbon.
While rooting around the basement, my eagle-eyed mother found a dusty old frame & insisted it would be adorable painted and used as an alternative style wreath. Glad I listened, I really like this. Sorry I doubted you for an instant mom!
Not satisfied with wreaths on doors and walls, I even decorated my sister's dog.  Maybe I got a tiny bit carried away.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas cards*

Merry Christmas!  I love these packs of matching Christmas themed Christmas papers♡ The matching papers just took all the brain work right out of the equation - so simple.
I espically love that I got them on after Christmas clearance last year!
The beautiful muted papers came in a pack from Basic Grey. The bright papers used for the stars came from Hobby Lobby in a little pack of card size pieces. Fun cheap & easy - my kind of project!

2x4 Pumpkins

Had a great time creating these cute pumpkins with my niece and nephew. A fun and simple project (I prepainted the blocks). Truly great for all ages.

Heres a left over block I painted after I got home. I really like the way this turned out much better than the paper ones. But the patterned paper, black contact paper, and stickers were fun and simple for the kiddos.
